The all new TC76D scanning probe from Blum provides large time savings and interesting new probing possibilities.
The TC-76D Digilog scanning probe from Blum combines a high resolution scanning probe and a digital touch probe in a single compact unit.
Based on the 25mm diameter probe envelope of the proven and versatile TC-76N and TC-76T digital "Sharktooth" probes, the new TC-76D adds the possibility to continuously scan part surfaces at high speed and with high resolution. Scanning speeds up to 2m/minute are possible with measuring repeatability as low as 0.0004mm. An update time of only 20 microseconds provides high resolution scan data even at high operating speeds.
This makes the TC-76D scanning probe a powerful new option for on-machine inspection of complex and high accuracy machined parts. As well as delivering high accuracy measurement capabilities on an existing CNC machine, the ability of the probe to continuously scan a surface profile offers considerable time savings over digital touch probe techniques.
The result is a new level of feasibility for incorporating profile inspection within the machining process to actively manage conformance to CAD data and overall machining quality, and to eliminate costly production delays associated with off-line measurement processes.
